7. Dark Lips

This might not be dark for most people, but it's pretty dang and out of the box for me! I like berry lips, usually in more muted tones, but this is nice too. It's Maybelline Color Sensational lipstick in Blissful Berry.

17. Blush

I'll use this time to talk about my new favorite blush, Nars Orgasm! Beware, this is a picture heavy post!

14. Celebrity Inspired Look

My attempt at looking like Carly Rae Jepsen! She makes raccoon eyes look good, while I don't think they look that good on me. Loving the super contour and pale lips though. Faked my bangs with the help of this youtube tutorial (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2M1UNtxsbTY)

29. Brows

I do love me some super brows! The dark photo helps show how intense the brows look on my face and frankly, I'm still not used to dramatic brows. Bonus picture of Klaus on my bed!

3. What's in your purse?

What's in my purse? Hmm, let's find out.. that thing's usually a cluttered mess! This'll be a good time to clean it too....

My beloved bag. I used to carry another red one around, but it got old and ratty so I switched to this one. I really do like the color red. I also like how this bag is large enough to hold everything, not that I have a lot of things to carry, but it's nice to expect the unexpected. I also like how the straps are long enough to stay on my shoulder without falling off. Forgot where I purchased this though :(

Here's the stuff! Seems like a lot when I lay it all out and frankly, I forgot I had some stuff in here. Sometimes it really does feel like a bottomless pit.

1. Red Lips

So, I've totally been slacking in these december challenges.. but I have three more days! And a lot of challenges to do.. Here's my try at the Red Lips challenge using a new favorite, OCC Lip Tar in NSFW. Also featuring my new N7 jacket <3 Love both of them!

11. Winged Liner

It's finals week! Luckily I don't have any big tests, but I do have two big papers to turn in, so that's been taking up all my time. But today I had work, so I figure I'd do a winged liner and fulfill this challenge!

16. Recent Haul

Went to Sephora the other day to spend my 15 dollars off as a Beauty Insider and walked off with these three beauties! I'll review them in depth later, but here's some pretty pictures!

10. Top Three Lipsticks

I'm beginning to feel a little bit under the weather :( I hope this bad feelings don't last too long since this semester of college is winding down and I have two big papers to turn in! But, here's another entry in the December challenge: my top three lipsticks. However, I'm just going to expand the challenge and show my top three lip product, since not all of them count as "lipstick". Yay for super hi def picture of my lips! I'm not wearing anything else except the lip products in these pictures (except for colorless lip balm).

Tommy and Klaus

In lieu of a December Challenge post (because I closed tonight at work and I'm sooo tired), here's a picture of my two favorite cats. On the left is Tommy, my 13 yr old faithful protector of my room, and on the right is Klaus, my sweet 2 year old doll. 

4. Colored Liner

I love colored liner! I just don't feel like I can wear them out just because you don't often see colored liner and it's dramatic looking, but I'm working on feeling more comfortable in bold makeup!

13. Favorite Makeup Brushes

Another challenge! Time to list my favorite brushes in no particular order.

1. ELF Studio Powder Brush

I love this baby! I have two and use one for powder foundation, the other for blush. The hairs are synthetic, but they're very soft and disperse the color or powder evenly. At 3 dollars, this is a steal! Bought it online, but they have some at my local Target, so I might get some as backups or for future makeup exchanges.







2. ELF Essential Blending Eye Brush

I love ELF brushes. They're cheap and get the job done, a win-win situation in my book. I love using it to wedge a light brown shade into my crease to soften up darker colors or add more dimension to the eye makeup. I have two of these, just in case one gets dirty from a color.






3. MAC 217

I've had this baby for a while now and it holds a special place in my heart <3 It's lovely for blending out harsh lines and adding a soft look. I also use it to set my undereye concealer with a powder foundation, since I feel it really packs the powder in, making it last longer. Also, I use it to highlight my browbone with a light color.






4. My fingers!

 It's true! I love using my fingers to apply liquid foundation and blending in concealer and doing a variety of other things that I feel brushes can't do. I also use my fingers to pat on cream and powder shadows on the eyelid, after I sanitized my fingers of course!

21. Ombre

Told you I'd be doing them out of order. Here's my take on number twenty one, Ombre!

Went for a green smoky eye with the ombre effect starting from the lightest green in the inner corner of my eye, to the darkest green on the outer corner winging out.

22. Makeup Wishlist

Figured this would be an easy december challenge one to start out with, since it's mostly text.


Right now, my wishlist is varied. There's a ton of things I want, but know I don't /need/, and stuff that I've asked for in online gift swaps that I'm not sure strangers want to shell out the money for. With my minimum wage job, I definitely can't afford some of these, but that's why they're on my *wish*list c;

1. Guerlain Meteorites. These look so heavenly. I need them. I'm looking for a nice, subtle highlight without chunks of glitter that also doubles as finishing powder. Also, the fancy case is SO pretty. ...ok I might want the product just for the case. It looks so fetch.

2. OCC stuff. Mainly lip tars and their concealer. The lip tars sound great: longwearing, only need a tiny bit, bright colors. I'm sold! Now just to try them out at Sephora. Christine from Temptalia loves their concealer and since I'm looking around for a good one, I'd like to try OCC's. The lip tar colors that I want are Black Dahlia, Memento, Grandma and NSFW.

3. NARS Exhibit A. It is a bright ass red and I need it. That is all.

December Makeup Challenge!

Found this on r/makeupaddiction and figured I could use a bit more inspiration. I think it's one challenge per day, but since I'm running late, I'm just going to do as many as I can! And I'm doing them out of order. Because I can.

Geek Chic Cosmetics Samples Haul Reviews/Swatches

A couple months ago, I put in order for a ton of samples at Geek Chic Cosmetics because (guess it) I loved the geeky inspirations for the sets. So, naturally, I had to get them all. I tried out their mineral eyeshadows, mineral blushes, bronzers and powder. All the swatches are on bare skin, with no primer. Here are my thoughts. 

Shiro Cosmetics Haul + Intertubes Review

Yay Shiro Cosmetics! I've been wanting to buy from them for FOREVER. I love the geeky names and the owner, Caitlin, seems super nice. I recently put an order for a bunch of intertube samples and I got them today! I don't have any pictures of the actual packaging the samples came in, but it came in a heavily wrapped paper bag with a print out receipt of my order with a handwritten thanks from the owner. There was a Pikachu sticker, which also scored her some extra brownie points. AND CANDY! Only two pieces, but they were Japanese and so yummy! No pictures because obviously, I ate them as soon as I saw them ;)

Hi everybody!

My name's Jennifer. This is my first makeup blog. I've posted makeup looks to facebook, twitter and even reddit, but I've always somewhere of my own to post reviews, looks and ramblings. Always thought about a blog, but I've never made one before, so here goes!

I'll be posting a variety of things, ranging from makeup to random pictures of my cats to gaming related tidbits to things about my personal life. Hope you join me for the ride!
