Here are the intertubes I sampled! They came in little clamshell containers, which I liked because when I finished the product, I can reuse them for depotting other things.
I sampled Yo Dawg, Why Not Zoidberg, Smashing, Leeroy Jenkins, Sad Keanu, Insanity Wold, Three Wolf Moon, Robe & Wizard Hat and Me Gusta. 90% of the reason I bought these might or not might not be the names.
Swatch time!
From top to bottom, Why Not Zoidberg, Smashing, Leeroy Jenkins, Yo Dawg and Sad Keanu.
Why Not Zoidberg lives up to its' name! It's almost exactly as orange as Zoidberg! I love it.
Smashing is a really pretty purple/pink. It doesn't have shimmer, but it's super creamy.
Leeroy Jenkins is a light lavender with gray undertones. I definitely can't pull this one off by wearing it by itself.
Yo Dawg is a berry magenta, which makes it the perfect fall lip! This is one of my favorites.
Sad Keanu, another one of my favorites, is also a magenta, but it's darker and more brown toned than Yo Dawg. Both of these shades look really dark in the pan (I guess tube in the full sized version) but can be built up to full opacity.
From top to bottom, Three Wolf Moon, Insanity Wolf, Me Gusta, Robe & Wizard Cap
Three Wolf Moon is my favorite out of all the intertubes! It's a lovely dark reddish brown with hints of shimmer that don't really show up on the lips.
Insanity Wolf is white! To be honest, I don't know when I'll be wearing this, but it'll be fun to use to play around with. It needs to be built up to attain full opacity, so it's not as pigmented or as creamy as the other shades.
Me Gusta is black. Pretty pigmented. As with Insanity Wolf, this one will be saved for experiments.
Robe & Wizard Cap is a pretty blue with glitter. It shows up teal in the swatch, I assume because of the yellow undertone of my skin. It's pretty blue in the pan.
Overall Thoughts:
I like them! Most of them are creamy and glide on the lips easily. I use a lip brush to apply them, although I imagine it'd be easier with the full sized version. They don't last through eating or drinking, so I have to reapply after every time I drink. But I love the colors! I also like how they are buildable. You can start off with a sheer layer if you want a light stain, or apply more for the bold color. I find the darker shades stain my lips if I apply a lot, especially Three Wolf Moon and Me Gusta. I am definitely looking into buying a couple full sized versions of my favorites! Samples were $1.80 in a clamshell, but a full sized version is $6.50.
I also received a couple mineral eyeshadow samples, which I'll be reviewing later. See you around!
